Ysgol Dewi Sant's School Council

Welcome to Ysgol Dewi Sant's school council page

What is a school council?

The school council represents the voice of the school's pupils. The Council intention is to gather new ideas and ensure the happiness of all pupils in the school. At the meetings the Council will discuss various ways to improve the school internally, externally and educationally. The Council will also arrange different activities for the pupils. The School Council gives pupils the opportunity to develop important skills including communication, listening, expressing opinions, problem solving, decision making and reflection.

Who are the Council Members 2025-26?

At the beginning of each school year the pupils are asked to nominate and vote for who they want to represent them on the School Council for the coming year. Two pupils from years 2 - 6 are voted onto the council by their peers.
