We Are a Prem Aware School

We are delighted to announce that our school has been recognised as a Prem Aware School and has recently been awarded the Prem Aware Award.

The Prem Aware Award recognises schools that are committed to understanding and supporting children who were born prematurely. Around one in every 13 babies is born prematurely, and while many thrive, some may experience challenges with learning, development, emotional wellbeing, or social interactions that can continue into their school years.

As a Prem Aware School, our staff have received training to increase their understanding of the potential long-term impact of premature birth. This helps us to identify and respond to the individual needs of children who were born early, ensuring they receive the understanding, support, and opportunities they need to flourish.

We recognise that every child is unique, and being prem aware is part of our wider commitment to providing an inclusive environment where all children can achieve their full potential.
